Tignes with its beautiful resort is the perfect location to enjoy a fulfilling summer holiday away from the usual hustle and bustle of crowded beaches.
Breathe in the pure mountain air while exploring the magnificent Vanoise Park and its vibrant wildlife: Get an eyeful of the unique landscapes, green pastures and grandiose panoramas while having fun with a mountain of exciting activities suited for the whole family: with ski lifts still operating in summer, holidaymakers can access the resort’s various top spots, go mountain biking along the tagged routes or discover the remote paths, lakes and rivers and practise many of the sports available its nautical base for a kayaking session or water ball with friends.
Tignes will also delight ski aficionados as it is one of the few resorts to welcome summer skiers on the slopes starting up its 3000 m-high glacier!
Tignes provides an exceptional playground for trilling, once-in-a-lifetime activities: trail, via Ferrata or paragliding over the valley… as well as glacier hiking where experienced instructors will guide you up the mountain with a harness, cleats and ice axe in all safety to get a breathtaking view of the resort.
Tignes’ youth club welcomes children and teenagers to make new friends and try out their favourite new adventures: trampoline, horse riding, archery, adventure course, rafting, via Ferrata, tennis, mini-golf, football, swimming, climbing, hiking… to suit every mood in a carefree environment.
TIGNES’ VILLAGES
Le Lac 2100
Built around the natural mountain lake, the village is the perfect spot to ski and enjoy a wealth of après-ski activities. Ice diving, moon bikes, sledging and shopping to complete your ski holidays. Come evening, the newly opened Strike, part of Les Etincelles, is an exciting addition to Tignes’ nightlife with an impressive line-up of concerts and DJs sets from international artists.
Les Boisses 1800
Right in the heart of the resort, Les Boisses is a quiet haven with a soothing natural architecture of stone and wood and all the pleasure of modern comfort. Located right off the slopes, the village offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the Mont-Blanc on a clear day.
Val Claret 2150
Sitting at the foot of the Grande Motte glacier, Val Claret is the buzzing and festive heart of Tignes, 2,150 m high.

Bike rides, down the slopes
Mountain bikers of all levels can have fun on the versatile 160km-long tagged course accessible with any of the five ski lifts. Rent out your bike and protective equipment with the many sports stores around or sign up with an instructor for an initiation tour and the best tips. Alternatively, electric mountain bikes are a great way to explore further around the mountains with minimal effort or at a relaxing pace.
Walks & hikes through the Alps
Go on rejuvenating walks around the resort with limitless access to the mountain with friends or a certified guide: trek along the marked itineraries treasure-hunting to spot nature’s most precious sights, including the local wildlife in the Vanoise National Park.
Summer ski
Thanks to the 3000m-high Tignes glacier, ski aficionados can enjoy the quiet slopes throughout July and August.
Nautical leisure base
