Visiting Tignes
Tignes welcomes you with fresh snow from November (or as early as October) until May, a wonderful promise for the high-altitude resort with guaranteed snow thanks to its glacier towering at 3,456 m and 300km of slopes for skiers of all levels and ages!
Go at your own pace to improve your personal best down the Olympic slopes or gently glide cross-country or have fun with mini-skis or snowboarding.
Tignes is home to many ski schools including the reputed ESF and its legendary jovial instructors giving hot tips and lessons for all levels (Evolution 2) and younger skiers (Ski One).
For groups and families, Tignes offers a wealth of activities for your little ones. Ride over to the Pala’fou slope and its 3 km sledge run or try snow tubing and Snake Gliss for a fun ride with your friends and family. You and your guests can also experience a wonderful cross-country ride with an Icelandic horse or a dog sledge.
Tignes is home to 5 characterful villages with distinctive Tarentaise Valley Alpine charm: Val Claret, Tignes le Lac, Le Lavachet, Tignes Les Boisses and the traditional Tignes-les-Brévières. Buzzing, authentic, cultural or serene and quiet, Tignes has it all.
