Tignes welcomes you with fresh snow from November (or as early as October) until May, a wonderful promise for the high-altitude resort with guaranteed snow thanks to its glacier towering at 3,456 m and 300km of slopes for skiers of all levels and ages!
Go at your own pace to improve your personal best down the Olympic slopes or gently glide cross-country or have fun with mini-skis or snowboarding.

Tignes is home to many ski schools including the reputed ESF and its legendary jovial instructors giving hot tips and lessons for all levels (Evolution 2) and younger skiers (Ski One). If you’re staying in one of our premium chalets, our team will organise your ski lessons and book your equipment and ski pass.

For our hotel guests, our team can help you book your equipment ahead and have everything delivered to the hotel so you don’t miss a beat.

For groups and families, Tignes offers a wealth of activities for your little ones. Ride over to the Pala’fou slope and its 3 km sledge run or try snow tubing and Snake Gliss for a fun ride with your friends and family. You and your guests can also experience a wonderful cross-country ride with an Icelandic horse or a dog sledge.

Les Etincelles has made Tignes’s nightlife even more thrilling with the Strike, a brand new venue (and the largest) in the Alps, with exclusive concerts and DJs sets from international artists organised throughout the season.

Le Lac 2100

Built around the natural mountain lake, the village is the perfect spot to ski and enjoy a wealth of après-ski activities. Ice diving, moon bikes, sledging and shopping to complete your ski holidays. Come evening, the newly opened Strike, part of Les Etincelles, is an exciting addition to Tignes’ nightlife with an impressive line-up of concerts and DJs sets from international artists.

Les Boisses 1800

Right in the heart of the resort, Les Boisses is a quiet haven with a soothing natural architecture of stone and wood and all the pleasure of modern comfort. Located right off the slopes, the village offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the Mont-Blanc on a clear day.

Val Claret 2150

Sitting at the foot of the Grande Motte glacier, Val Claret is the buzzing and festive heart of Tignes, 2,150 m high.

Skiing

300km of slopes winding down from the 3,456m high glacier: that’s what snow dreams are made of! Enjoy a perfect ski holiday sliding down the versatile slopes or cross-country to explore the resort’s wonderful mountains and nature.

Snowshoeing

Take your time hiking up the mountains with a trek through the peaceful natural environment, a pleasant visual white noise.

Dog sledding

A romantic or family ride with Greenland Eskimo dogs around the frozen Tignes lake. An experience you won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Ice diving

Looking for the quietest place in Tignes. Find it diving under the ice by day or night with certified instructors.
If you’d rather be on top of things, just float on the ice in a dry suit while you gaze at the stars.

Bun J Ride

Combine the thrills of jumping off a ramp secured by two Bungee elastic bands before zip-lining down the mountain. How about that for an exciting time!

All roads lead to a great time in the mountains

By car

From Chambéry – Albertville, follow the A430, the dual carriageway up to Moûtiers before taking the N90 to Bourg-St-Maurice. Finally, take the D902 towards Tignes. Duration: 2 hours

Useful tip: navigation systems can suggest going up the Petit Saint Bernard or Col de l’Iseran passage, which are closed during the winter.

By Train

The greener way to reach the Alps is also the fastest and easiest.

– Travel directly to Bourg-St-Maurice from Paris, London, Brussels or Amsterdam…but also Grenoble or Lyon.
– Access Tignes by taxi, direct bus service or car (approximately 45 minutes).

By Plane
