L’incomparable

This incomparable, incredible establishment certainly lives up to its name, suited to all seasons and in keeping with its most eloquent reviews. The five-star hotel, which joined the Les Etincelles collection in June 2020, boasts magnificent architecture overlooking the Lake du Bourget. Behind the immense walls of this historic residence, the renovated nine rooms and six suites offer premium comfort and contemporary elegance paired with period features such as herringbone parquet, Italian cement tiles, exposed beams, and Burgundy stone. These cocoons cultivate inner well-being while enabling guests to enjoy exceptional panoramic views over nature.

On the mountain-facing side, the rooms overlook the peaks of Le Granier and Mont Revard. Meanwhile, on the lake-facing side, superb views stretch out across the wild banks of the Lac du Bourget all the way up to picture-postcard peak, La Dent du Chat. Located in Tresserve, L’Incomparable is nestled on a three-acre estate overlooking the lake. Nature here is omnipresent and can be admired from every part of the hotel: from the Spa and its indoor pool opening onto the gardens, from the jacuzzi and the outdoor pool, and even from the restaurant and its outdoor terrace, where guests can indulge in the cuisine by the new chef, an ode to the local terroir. The chef tends his own permaculture vegetable garden, picks the herbs that enhance his dishes, and collects honey from the beehives on the estate. After all, at L’Incomparable, nature reigns supreme and eco-friendly initiatives were an obvious choice. In a timelessly charming setting, the hours slip by under the shade of a weeping willow, in the sophisticated comfort of the rooms, and on the edge of the pool overlooking the lake. This gorgeous stretch of water even inspired famous French poet Lamartine to write: “Oh time! Suspend your flight!”
